Meeting the unique needs of each community through collaboration and conversation

How we are conducting our research

We are having real conversations with youth, elders, community members, health practitioners in each of the provinces participating in this project. Knowing that each community has unique needs, we want to work with Indigenous groups in a way that makes the most sense to them. This may be one on one conversations or community gatherings with guided discussions. We do have questions we want answered but know that the way we arrive at these answers will be different across the country. We want to hear what youth want to see in a mental health resource, the role elders and the community play in heath and well being, and how healthcare practitioners can use this information when supporting Indigenous people.
